Medical Experts Slam Adani

Wednesday 7th June / presented by Paul Hunt

Prominent doctors across Australia have spoken out against the governments proposed investment loan to Indian mining giant Adani for the Carmichael coal project rail line.

Pollution from coal contributes to heart and lung disease, cancer and childhood asthma with air pollution responsible for an estimated 3,000 deaths in Australia every year.

Climate change concerns are also present as it presents “the greatest threat to public health of our time”.

Doctors for the Environment Australia Chair Professor Kinglsy Faulkner discussed these concerns on The Mag with Paul Hunt.
