Movie Squad

Friday 27th September / presented by Peter Barr

Pornography, romance, crime and poker are the major themes to this week’s Movie Squad discussion.

Firstly, Lovelace, a biographic film adaptation directed by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman that looks at the hardcore pornography industry in the 1970’s.

Neither lightweight nor particularly graphical, Lovelace is an expose of seedy truths that lay beneath the notorious industry that is pornography.

The second film titled Runner, Runner sees singer turned actor, Justin Timberlake as Richie Furst, who plays a Princeton grad student, struggling to pay his tuition Richie is forced to wager his life’s savings on a round of digital Texas Hold Em’ to stay in school.

Film junkies, Paul Grace and Tristen Fidler, are here to tell us what they thought…
