National Reconciliation Week – Moorditj Mag

This week is National Reconciliation Week: a week solely dedicated to the Aboriginal and Indigenous communities of Australia; and seen as an opportunity for all Australians to learn about the shared histories, cultures and achievements of these communities and to contribute towards building a reconciled, and therefore more united, Australia.
That's the theme for this year's  Grounded in Truth, Walk Together with Courage.
Brenan Loizou is the programme manager for TRANBY - National Indigenous Adult Education and Training - an organisation helping to empower Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders through education, training, and social action. He popped by this morning to chat with Moorditj Mag men Jim and Nick all about National Reconciliation Week; as well as any clarifying or 'demystifying' any discussion points regarding the concept of 'Redress' - inc. what methods of preparation, compensation and/or reparation are in place; and what it all means for the Aboriginal and Indigenous communities...
