New docu-seires unpacks transgender athletes place in sport

Transgender athletes have long faced difficulty when finding space to compete in sport.

A new 15-part documentary series, TransAthletica, will take viewers on a journey featuring voices of leading transgender athletes and activists.

Created by the team behind Rainbow History Class, TransAthletica follows the story of Rudy Jean Rigg as he explores the unique challenges faced by trans people in sport.

Rudy phoned into Breakfast with Taylah to tell us more, and started by sharing their own history with sport.
