One Billion Rising

Friday 1st February / presented by Rewi Lyall

February the 14th is not only Valentines Day; it’s also Perth’s One Billion Rising Dance Party.

Part of V Day, its part of a bigger story.

15 years ago, writer and activist Eve Ensler, the author of the ‘Vagina Monologues’, begun ‘V-Day’.

It’s a global movement and series of consciousness-raising events to end violence against girls and women.

Film maker, XMediaLab project manager, and active supporter of “V-Day” Juke Japhet Chiari joined us.
