Ore Inspiring

The Iron ‘Ores just might have everything that defines modern WA - sweaty men in hard hats, a talent quest (like the X-Factor but with more sweat), billionaire mining executives, the cabaret stylings of women who know a decent amount about the market price of base metals, and more sweaty men in hard hats.

The thing is, no one knows who the Iron ‘Ores actually are…

We know the show features the first WA stage appearance of Aboriginal Drag comedian Owen Dennison, and Neil Hansen (of Flag Sisters fame), currently a FIFO worker at BHP’s iron-ore mine at Yarrie, playing two new songs.

Acclaimed actor Igor Sas is also in it – and he and Owen Dennison stopped by this morning to serenade me…
