Perth Pop Institution Play Pines

Thursday 27th April / presented by Caitlin Nienaber

Indie-pop powerhouse Institut Polaire are one of the most anticipated acts on the In the Pines lineup this year.

Formed as a three-piece back in 2004 they steadily grew to a collective of 7 – 9 members, winning hearts with their WAM Song of the year winning classic City Walls and Empires and 2010 album Make Your Own Mayflower.

After calling it a day in 2011, the band’s many members are now spread around the country with a handful heading back home to Perth to play at the Somerville Auditorium on Sunday April 30.

Erik Hecht called into Breakfast with Caitlin before jumping on a flight home.
