PIAF: Soft Soft Loud

Thursday 25th February / posted by Chris Wheeldon

Starting tonight, the Perth International Arts Festival welcomes Soft Soft Loud, its annual program bringing together world-class performers for one-off collaborations.

Legendary British composer Mark-Anthony Turnage is performing his ground-breaking 1996 piece, Blood on the Floor with some of Australia’s best jazz and classical musicians.

The 20th anniversary celebrations of Blood on the Floor will see 30 musicians take to the stage to create a unique interpretation of the contemporary masterpiece.

Artistic director Matt Hoy dropped in to give the low-down on the event, bringing with him a few buddies to put on a bit of a show for us.
