Pliable Planes

Pliable Planes presents contemporary Australian textiles and fibre art in expansive and plural forms, altering perceptions of materials, form and function.”

The title comes from a 1957 essay by Bauhaus artist, Anni Albers that looked at weaving through an architectural and structural lens.

The University of New South Wales Galleries was the first location to host, Pliable Planes. The exhibition makes it’s way to Western Australia, November, 3 at Fremantle Arts Centre.
