Post-Natal Stress & Fathers

Thursday 18th May / presented by Chris Mason

We hear about women suffering from anxiety or depression during and after pregnancy but what about men?

Research conducted by Perinatal Anxiety and Depression Australia tells us one in 10 men will suffer from depression or anxiety during or after their partner’s pregnancy.

The organisation also suggests men with partners suffering from postnatal anxiety or depression are more likely at risk, but in some cases the father may suffer alone.

David Sutherland from Perinatal Anxiety and Depression Australia joins Chris.

If you are experiencing symptoms of anxiety or depression you can visit panda.org.au or call the PANDA National Helpline on 1300 726 306.
