PREMIERE: Michael Savage returns with his new single, ‘Write Home’

Boorloo local Michael Savage has returned with his first solo release since 2018 in the form of single ‘Write Home.’

Teaming up with producer Ricky Maymi, Savage’s incandescent vocals coast over the groove driven pysch-pop cut.

Ever the experimenter, Savage put his trusty guitar to the side and chose to compose ‘Write Home’ on keyboard, with the results more than paying off as the track “came out easily in one session – it was easier than usual to nail this one down”. Lyrically, the song provides a whimsical take on the all too familiar scenario of someone close moving away and exploring “the impermanence of relationships.”

Write Home marks the beginning of Savage’s next musical chapter and is just the first of a number of forthcoming releases – including his long awaited fourth full-length album due in 2022.
