Everybody lives through an era that means so much to them and in many cases defines who they become.

For many it’s tumultuous, for the lucky ones it’s glorious; for Peter Barr it was the Nineties.

And in that era there was one band in particular that influenced me and others around me.

A band that dragged Australian music culture out of a stagnant pub rock 80’s phase into an alternative magic phase of pop/punk guitar rock.

They are a trio called Ratcat and its front man Simon Day joined RTRFM...
