Reaching for Clean Energy

Tuesday 18th June / presented by Andy Snelling

Australia is moving toward reaching its energy ideal.

One where you can use your smartphone to monitor and program air-conditioner use at home during peak and therefore most expensive times.

One where the solar panels on your roof will supply enough power to keep the fridge cold and the TV on with enough left over to top up your home’s power batteries.

And one where the need to purchase electricity from the power company is a bare minimum, when it is at its cheapest.

Here at RTR we’re looking to reach our own energy ideal- one where the solar panels on our roof will help power your station and reduce our energy costs drastically.

This means we can stay in our Mount Lawley premises, and do it in a greener, smarter fashion.

The Clean Energy Council a not-for-profit association, and the peak body for Australia’s clean energy sector.

Policy Manager Darren Gladman came into the studio to talk all things green.
