Remote Op Shops: Tackling Community Issues

Friday 14th February / posted by Will Backler

The social and economic issues associated with remote aboriginal communities and its cyclic nature is no new news, however The Remote Op Shop Project’s approach is. The project tackles a multitude of issues through taking pre-loved donations to locally owned op-shops; this both equips individuals with business skills as well as supports overall community autonomy.

Join RTRFMS Teri Campbell has she chats to Tanya Egerton, founder of The Remote Op Shop Project about the positive social impacts her project has had on these communities. They also look at the origins of her project and expansion, including into WA, since then.
