Revelation Film Festival

Friday 31st May / presented by Teri Campbell

Teri was joined on Breakfast by Richard Sowada, founder and director of Revelation Film Festival. This iconic indie cinema celebration dropped their massive program yesterday; including 144 films, 200+ sessions, films, short films and documentaries galore! This includes work from Perth, and from all over the world. Richard remarks on how locals have it tough in the art scene with regards to creative development, the origins of this idea. There were 450 entries which gave a lot of material to ensure the quality of Revelation Film Fest.

There's more to the event than films however, Richard tells us all about the special guests and inspiration involved, from music to architecture. We learn more about the Blind Date Music Competition, which combines local musicians and filmmakers to create amazing music videos. The response to it was great with dozens of entries, and will be showcased at the Film Festival.

Richard also gives us all the details about the VR Festival, which is happening from July 6-14th in Fremantle. This extension of the Film Fest involves all things gameplay; showcasing the heights of technology. Go to www.xrwa.com.au for more info.

You can catch the Revelation Film Festival from the 4th-17th of July. Take a look at the program at www.revelationfilmfest.org.
