Robert Wood – Redgate

Monday 11th May / presented by Danae Gibson

Last week on Artbeat we were very excited to host our first ever virtual book launch in honour of local poet Robert Wood's Redgate.

In his latest collection, which features both English and Hindi translations, Robert traces themes of belonging, memory and community through the familiar sea, sky and forest that compose the landscape of Redgate, located on Wardandi country in the southwest of WA.

Danae and Robert were joined by Perth writer Rashida Murphy to introduce the collection, followed by a conversation about language, history and belonging- and of course a reading from the poet himself.
