Thursday 1st February / presented by Caitlin Nienaber

Every week we get a dose of the latest in science news with Sarah Lau! What do we have in store this week? Lets take a look...

  • Lots of celebrating after this years Australian of the Year Awards! Quantum physicist Michelle Simmons took home the top prize, maths teacher Eddie Woo named local hero and Biophysicist Graham Farquhar won Senior Australian. Congratulations guys!
  • Scientists have measured the force of a baby's kicking in the womb - and it can be more than 4 kg of force per kick! (and I was like Baby, baby, baby oooohhhh!)
  • Giant space disco ball or unwanted space graffiti? New Zealand start up launches giant reflective globe into orbit
  • And last but not least, how swatting at mosquito's can help train them to avoid you.

Thanks Sarah for another great week of filling us in with the latest, regarding the world of science.
