Selfless Orchestra highlight the Climate Emergency
With a rotating roster of musicians, MC’s and visual artists, Selfless Orchestra incorporate classical and post-rock music with imagery to convey social and political issues.
Drivetime’s Tim and Em catch up with Ray, Steve and Andy, three members of the musical outfit and activist group ahead of their audiovisual collaboration with 360.org this Friday.
The band tell us all about their use of creativity and emotion to highlight social issues, and how they aim to blur the lines between audience and performer in order to make the audience active participants on issues that affect everyone.
The members also discuss the inspiration behind their first LP Great Barrier, and their upcoming collaborative show with 360 Org.
Taking place at Planet Royale this Friday the 8th of October, the performance aims to highlight the current proposed Scarborough to gas hub expansion in the Burrup Peninsula and its detrimental effects on the climate.
