Sharknado Surprise!

When Sharknado was first broadcast in the United States, Twitter was, well, atwitter with gobsmacked viewers shocked (and delighted) by the awesomeness of its central, California-demolishing tornado, comprised entirely of sharks.

Though produced cheaply, and poorly, it's enraptured movie fans around the globe, and also weirdly revitalised the careers of cast members Tara Reid and John Heard.

They're not the true stars of Sharknado however.

That honour belongs to former 90210 Beverley Hills star IRON Ziering.

Yes, IRON; that’s how you pronounce it.

Quickflix's Simon Miraudo spoke to IRON, who recently completed a stint as a guest Chippendale, all about accepting his role in Sharknado, enjoying a bloodied kiss with Tara Reid, and just why he agreed to star in the thing anyway…
