Shaun Burgoyne: Silk

Kokatha, Mirning and Warai man, Shaun Burgoyne, is an Australian Rules football champion. Burgoyne recently retired after 407 games, four premierships and countless accolades. He has also written a book called Silk – the nickname football lovers know him by. The book shares more than just a regular retired footballer recalling the glory days, with input form coaches, friends and family. RTRFM’s Danae Gibson caught up with Shaun Burgoyne recently and began by asking him about Koonibba, the footy club and community of his youth.
