Son of Rogue’s Gallery

The ocean – she’s a vast and intriguing thing that engulfs two thirds of the planet, is home to all sorts of creatures and has swallowed people whole, never to be seen again.

The oceans also enchanted people with her beautiful mystery and driven them to sing – massive anthems with jaunty singalong choruses – often delivering brilliantly dirty messages.

There’s an entire world of sea shanty’s out there and music producer Hal Willner has collected many of them on two records.

The first was ‘Rogue’s Gallery – Pirate Ballads, Sea Songs and Chanteys’ which now has a sequel – ‘Son of Rogue’s Gallery…’

Hal was hanging out with a couple of people in a certain place when he came up with the idea for the albums…
