Summertime Danger

Tuesday 10th December / presented by James Hall

A Climate Council report is urging us to recognise the threat of an increase in frequency and severity of bushfires as a result of climate change.

This is in line with a range of national and international studies that reveal human induced climate change is resulting in a hotter and drier climate – and that more extreme weather events are likely to continue.

The report claims severe fires have been influenced by record hot, dry conditions and that in the future, Australia’s likely to experience an increased number of days with extreme fire danger.
