Taming Kevin Parker

Wednesday 15th July / presented by Caitlin Nienaber

Nearly a decade ago a local band called The Dee Dee Dums changed their name to Tame Impala.

Things have certainly changed since then. International stadium shows, line-up re-shuffles, worldwide radio play and even a lawsuit.

What remains constant is Kevin Parker’s beautiful, lush, psychedelic bedroom recordings.

They’re all there on Tame Impala’s third album, Currents.

Caitlin Nienaber caught up with Kevin on Breakfast with Caitlin, while he chilled out at home in Fremantle.

They talked about leaving things until the last minute, crazy music industry people and the smell of Perth.
