Tarryn Gill in Portrait23: Identity

Portrait23: Identity is a major exhibition of new work from multi-award-winning contemporary Australian artists and collectives working across every state and territory.

One of the exhibiting artists is Boorloo based Tarryn Gill, and her giant soft sculptures series called Limber. Her work currently displayed in the National Portrait Gallery “creates work that explores psychoanalytic ideas, bridging the conscious and unconscious”. The series of work features oversized bodily soft sculptures made up of only limbs and hidden eyes that observe you back.

Bec Bowman is joined by Tarryn Gill to discuss her sculptures in Portrait23: Identity at the National Portrait Gallery, on Artbeat.
