Electroacoustic

Friday 9th August / presented by Graeme Watson

What do you get when you mix organic instruments with electronic/computer technologies?

Electroacoustic music, of course.

Intrigued?

Well this year, some 250-computer music artists will congregate at ‘The 11th Totally Huge New Music Festival’; an annual gathering where art and science meet in an experimental format and artists perform with a vast range of new music and sound art practices.

All too familiar with this trend is contemporary pianist, Michael Kieren-Harvey, whose is notable for its diverse repertoire of sounds and his extensive involvement with the promotion of new Australian music.

Harvey was with Graeme this morning.
