DADAA’s AN/OTHER Film Festival 2024

AN/OTHER Film Festival is a week-long celebration of disability led digital, screen and arts practice centring the art and storytelling of people with disability.

The festival is fully accessible with captioning, audio description, assertive listening and AUSLAN interpretation for panels and live discussions.

AN/OTHER Film Festival curator Sarah Collins has framed the program around three themes; Wide Open Spaces and Urban Landscapes, The Simple Things in Life and Queer Minds and Bodies and Chosen Families.

David Doyle, Executive Director of DADAA says, “these themes are to connect audiences to the identities, intersectionality, and full diversity of the disability community through the lens of film-makers with lived experienced of disability”.

Pam Boland caught up with Sarah Collins on Brekky to explore this years program.

AN/OTHER Film Festival is presented by DADAA and runs until July 20 at DADAA Theatre, Fremantle.
