The Battle for Mt Lawley

Wednesday 6th March / posted by Chris Wheeldon

The battle for the important seat of Mount Lawley in next weeks state election is well and truly on.

Labor Candidate Bob Kucera is a former police officer and is looking to take the seat from Liberal Incumbent Michael Sutherland. Here at RTRFM we have seen Mount Lawley change of the last few years. A number of buildings are empty due to increase rents, a change in demographics and a general shift from Mt Lawley being the place to be to being the other place to be, particularly on Beaufort Street.

Bob Kucera believes a change is needed to make Mt Lawley better, Michael Sutherland believes that as the city expands Mt Lawley will be swept up in the change.

Both politicians spoke to Joe Cassidy on Morning Magazine. You decide.
