The Last Folk Singer: Camille Barr

Camille Barr is a poet whose work deals with themes of social justice, equality and environmentalism. She has recently begun to shift towards songwriting in her work, setting her evocative poetry to song under the name The Last Folk Singer.

She spoke to Emily Green about this foray into songwriting, as well as Noam Chomsky, happiness, and the folk genre.

Camille's latest collection is called Rise (Democratise) which you can check out here. She has also recently released her second single, Because I was Born a Girl- read more about the song and give it a listen here.
