The scientist Spider Man

Monday 11th September / posted by Matt Tomich

Australia is home to some of the most amazing creatures, but often we don't interact with the wildlife.

Although, some still manage to make an appearance in our homes … Such as spiders.

But not all of them are big, hairy and scary.

Peacock Spiders are very small, their total body length coming to 4-5mm, which is small than your pinky nail.

But what captures people's attention are their brightly coloured backs.

Australian scientist Dr Jurgen Otto has a keen eye for the small spiders and over the past couple of years he's discovered 5 new species. He's here to chat about them!

Dr. Otto runs a YouTube channel dedicated to peacock spiders and many of his videos get millions of view.
