The State Library of WA launch new series of documentary films, WA Reflections

The State Library of WA is launching a new series of five short documentary films based around stories from their collections. It’s called WA Reflections and this is the second time they have run this initiative, which is a collaboration with Screenwest. The films are also the focus of panel discussion that they will be holding over the coming months.

The first film being launched is The Rules of Mahjong which is a really beautiful film by Melle Branson, who you might remember made a film about our own beloved DJ Rok Riley during the Covid lockdown.

Dr Adam Trainer, Community Engagement Officer of Arts and Culture at the State Library of Western Australia and Director of The Rules of Mahjong, Melle Branson, join Madeleine Mitchell to have a chat about WA Reflections, the first film and the panel discussion for it.
