The Week That Was: Race, Reconciliation & Ridicule

Friday 5th June / presented by Taylah Strano

As Reconciliation Week came to a close on June 3 this year's theme In The Together took on a life of its own.

After watching protests in the U.S unfold following the death of George Floyd, Australian's took to the streets to show solidarity in the Black Lives Matter movement, and also put pressure on the Aboriginal Deaths in Custody issue.

We spoke with an African American studies Professor in Minnesota, a representative from Australia's peak Indigenous-led body & an L.A resident to hear what's been happening in their corners of the world.

You can hear the full conversation with Professor Keith Mayes here, and the full conversation with Cheryl Axleby here.

TRACKS: Feels, Tall Black Guy & Haz Beats
