Tom Brown’s Holland Street Heart

Walyalup based artist Tom Brown has released his debut album My Holland Street Heart via Boorloo’s Rockton Records.

It’s a heartfelt album of understated guitar-centric bedroom pop from a 22 year old artist who demonstrates really remarkable maturity amongst some DIY production.

Tom grew up in Katherine in the NT, a small town that’s south-east of Darwin, moving to Fremantle two years ago, “coming from a small town and moving to what feels like a big city, that can make you feel more disconnected, which isn’t always the worst thing, but it made me reflect and I felt like I was in my own world. That ties into making it at home.”

My Holland Street Heart will be launched on the 24TH of May at the Buffalo Club, supported by Asian Milhouse and Anna Schneider.

Ahead of the album’s launch, Tom joined Pam on Brekky to talk all about the record.
