Understanding The Voice to Parliament: Dr Joan Squelch

The Indigenous Voice to Parliament referendum will be held on Saturday, October 14.

The question that will be put to Australian voters will require a Yes or No response to whether an Indigenous Voice to Parliament — which would act as an independent advisory body for First Nations people — should be enshrined in the country’s constitution.

On Breakfast, Pamela Boland has been checking in and chatting to folks who know what going on and can keep us in the loop, such as Dr Hannah McGlade and Nolan Hunter.

In this chat, Pam speaks with Dr Joan Squelch, a Professor of Law at Notre Dame University, lecturing in constitutional law and Human Rights Law.
