Understorey: Challenging Extreme Views

Wednesday 30th September / posted by Chris Wheeldon

Could alternative music be the slippery slope to environmental involvement, then just a single shark-cull rally away from violent radicalisation?  If the logic evades, you may have missed last week's release of a booklet by the federal government entitled, "Preventing Violent Extremism and Radicalisation."

Understorey asks Greens Senator Rachel Siewert, along with long time environment campaigners Jo Vallentine and Margaret Whittle, to help us un-join the dots between nonviolence, fossil fuel disinvestment  - and the federal government’s unique worldview about violent extremism that could be heading to a schoolroom near you.
