Understorey interviews new Labor Minister for Mines, Bill Johnston MLA, who says he's avoiding the risk of an uncapped bill from uranium companies, should he overturn environmental approvals for four uranium mines in Western Australia.  This places him in a difficult position, given current WA Labor policy opposes uranium mining and export, and makes it makes it clear that a Labor government "will accept no obligation to complete approval processes or honour contractual arrangements entered into by a previous government."
