Understorey: Wild About the Environment

Wednesday 17th April / presented by Elizabeth PO’ Adrian Glamorgan

With the federal election only four weeks away, many environment groups are seeking to put ecological, heritage and climate change issues centre-stage. They want legal policy instruments, like a federal environmental protection authority, and real resources to do the job. On Monday, the national campaigns director of the Wilderness Society wrote to politicians, calling for solemn commitments for better wildlife and habitat protection. The Wilderness Society wants to know whether Labor and Liberal are willing to create an environment policy framework that will turn around Australia’s environment crisis.
