Understorey: Winds of Climate Change

Wednesday 9th December / presented by Elizabeth PO’ Adrian Glamorgan

Australia rates in the bottom three countries in the world for its inadequate climate change policies, but in just a few days the Paris conference on climate change may sweep us and the rest of the world into binding agreement.  The Understorey team interview two Australian workers currently in the Paris throng: Jane Wilkinson from Climate Policy Initiative, and Paul Chatterton from WWF International, with preparatory Perth contributions from WACOSS' Irena Cattalini and the WA Conservation Council's Piers Verstegen.

Find out why Saudi Arabia wants to block a low carbon world, marvel at new approaches to financing mitigation, and listen closely for cameo performances from shy French plain clothes police leading off protestors who dare to challenge fracking as a climate change solution.  If you have to be under house arrest for 15 days, or resolve endless bracketed text in thick conference documents, Paris and this analysis is the perfect place for you.
