Video Games As Mental Health Strategies

Wednesday 8th August / presented by Hen Harriet Kenny

Trans and gender diverse young people are at a far higher risk for developing mental health difficulties than the general population, however they often experience barriers in accessing mental health services. Online interventions may offer an acceptable, convenient and private alternative to face to face services, yet currently there are no evidence based online interventions aimed at preventing or treating mental health difficulties in trans young people

Dani Wright Toussaint in combination with the Telethon Kids Institute is working on a game that will help trans and gender diverse individuals and popped into the All Things Queer to tell us all about it.

If you want more information or to get involved head to the Telethon Institute website.
