WA Stories, a music series from Perth Symphony Orchestra
Perth Symphony Orchestra has a new chamber music series WA Stories, held at Hackett Hall, WA Museum Boola Bardip.
WA Stories invites audiences to walk in the shoes of a West Australian that made a huge mark on WA history in a unique and immersive event transporting through time and space.
With the first two series already a success, the next two stories; PRIMA – the story of Lucette Aldous and HOPE, HARDSHIP AND A FORTUNATE LIFE – the story of Albert Facey you don’t want to miss.
27-28 September: ‘PRIMA – the story of Lucette Aldous’, a petite dancer who enchanted the legendary Nureyev and left an indelible mark on Western Australia.
11-12 October: ‘HOPE, HARDSHIP AND A FORTUNATE LIFE – the story of Albert Face’, the boy from Wickepin who lived during the era of horse-drawn transport, through two world wars, surviving debilitating grief and injury, alongside one of the most moving love stories.
Creative Director of Perth Symphony Orchestra, Fiona Campbell joins Maxxi May on Artbeat to tell us all about the event.
