Wildboy’s Adventure to Cape Byron

Monday 13th May / presented by Jeff Bullen

On 15 May, Brando Yelavich is going to attempt to cross Australia (by bike) between its widest points from Steep Point in WA (near Shark Bay) to Cape Byron in the east, a 4,670km journey.

His previous expeditions have taken him across the Greenland Ice Cap at -40 degrees, on a 70-day kayak circumnavigation of Vancouver Island, 30 days alone walking Stewart Island, trekking in Nepal delivering donated money, clothes and hospital supplies and climbing NZ’s 4 highest mountains with a teenager who was being bullied.

Brando Yelavich believes his next adventure will be his toughest, but he remains focused on his goal, to raise awareness of mental health and empower others to become the best version of themselves they can be.

Yelavich joined RTRFM in the studio to tell his story and his goals.
