RTRFM is The Sound Alternative: an independent, non-profit community radio station that provides an alternative voice for Perth through innovative music and talks programming. RTRFM provides a platform for local news and issues, with a strong focus on the arts, culture, social justice, politics and the environment. We champion local music and support musical diversity through 50+ specialist music programs and a huge program of events.

Why Subscriptions and Donations Matter

RTRFM is an independent, non-profit organisation that is primarily funded through the following avenues:

  • Subscriptions
  • Donations
  • Sponsorship
  • RTRFM event ticket sales
  • Funding, via government and other funding bodies.

RTRFM relies on the financial contributions of its listeners to operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Revenue raised during our annual Radiothon every August makes up 30% of our annual operating income.

The continued support of our listeners ensures that RTRFM can continue to deliver unique programs and events, and remain a high-quality alternative to mainstream media in Perth.

There are a variety of annual subscription packages available to suit your needs and budget.

By subscribing, you are ensuring that the community has access to a quality independent media source for all to enjoy.

Business Subscription $500

Donate to RTRFM

Donations are one-off contributions of an amount of your choosing. All donations over $2 are tax-deductible.

You can also support RTRFM by donating on a monthly basis. Our online donation portal allows you to set up automated monthly donations to the value of $10, $15, $20 (or a custom amount), by following a few easy steps.

Donations are a great way to give your new or existing RTRFM subscription a boost and give a little bit of extra love to your favourite radio station.

No matter how small or large, all donations to RTRFM are gratefully received.
