Say hello to

Atikah Hurley

( She/her )

Hello! I’m Atikah and I love music and learning new things!

About

Get to know Atikah

I became a presenter at RTRFM to immerse myself into Boorloo’s local music scene and to share the current affairs in this city with others!

I’m a broadcasting and journalism student at ECU and thought there was no better place to gain radio experience than RTR. I began assistant producing for On The Record then soon found myself behind the mic presenting for the same show and have loved every moment since.

Outside of the broadcasting and radio world I like to explore WA, take photos, write about my days and read a book at home with a cup of tea – accompanied my cats of course.

How did you become involved in the station?

Tell us about your most memorable gig, either attending or playing at?

My most memorable concert experience was Falls Festival 2023. I saw the Arctic Monkeys, my favourite band of all time. I have the biggest crush on Alex Turner and wept like a baby for the first 5 songs. Best day ever.

What is your favourite show (other than your own) on RTRFM?

Sunday Morning Coming Down – relieves the Sunday scaries
