What to expect

RTRFM’s NEON PICNIC BRINGS THE RADIO TO YOU LIVE THIS BUNURU. 

Come and bask in the musical majesty at this all-day event, and chill on the grass of Perth’s most beloved park enjoying an amazing lineup of RTRFM shows: Global Rhythm Pot, Homegrown and Drastic on Plastic, live and in-person, featuring special musical guests.

Catch some of the best local music Perth has to offer, from beloved station faves Helen Townsend, Mongeeya, Skyuka, Storefront and Tina Zando and the Situation. 

Bring the kids for a range of activities held throughout the day, including arts and crafts supported by Red Fox Property Group and a puppet making workshop from Spare Parts Puppet Theatre.

Relax with a drink from Whitelakes Brewing and wine from Vino Volta or grab a bite from Street Food Lab and Miller and Baker. Plus, coffee from Our Ruby Girl and gelato from Gelato Monkey.

You can also get your hands on our RTRFM merch, including a limited edition 45th Anniversary Vinyl Record.

Don’t miss out on this environmentally-friendly and FREE family event, supporting local music and businesses, especially not-for-profit community radio station RTRFM.This event is proudly sponsored by the City of Vincent and Red Fox Property Group and supported by White Lakes Brewing Co, Vino Volta and Spare Parts Puppet Theatre.

This is an LGBTIQA+ friendly and safe event.

You can BYO your own food and picnic but there will be food trucks for you.

No BYO alcohol of any kind we will have a bar on site.

Bring your own rug and chairs but just be aware of the folks behind you.

Kids are welcome but must be with a parent or guardian.

RTRFM events aim to be a safe space for self-expression, fun and community. Your safety is our number one priority. We will not tolerate any unfriendly, aggressive or offensive behaviour. If you feel unsafe or uncomfortable at any point please speak to an RTRFM or the venue staff.

Hyde Park is accessible via pathed paths and hard compact grass. There will be ACROD parking set up in the park, entrance from William Street between Vincent and Lincoln Street. There will be live music but the volume will be limited to 80dB and no flashing lights will be in use. If you have any accessibility enquiries please email admin@rtrfm.com.au
