About

Get to know Jamie Searle

I first heard RTRFM when I moved to Perth from the UK over 20 years ago, and I’m happy to say that I’ve been involved with the station for almost that long!

It’s an honour to present Global Rhythm Pot and to share the music I love. It keeps me seeking out fresh music, which has been a fantastic journey to be on. It’s a real thrill sometimes to share a piece of music that you feel sure very few of the listeners will have heard before.

I think that community radio is so important, and as someone who has been working in the WA music industry for many years I particularly appreciate RTR’s endless support for local music.

Here’s to many more years of RTRFM and Global Rhythm Pot!

How did you become involved in the station?

I started off on Jamdown Vershun and moved on to Global Rhythm Pot.

Tell us about your most memorable gig, either attending or playing at?

Supporting Tony Allen at Perth Festival a few years ago. Getting to meet and spend some time with the great man is a cherished memory.

What is your favourite show (other than your own) on RTRFM?

Black & Blue.

Love music?

Love RTRFM.
