Understorey: Perth Students Strike for Climate Change Action

Last Friday school children and young people from 72 countries joined in a school strike to demand of those in charge of governments, corporations, and policy, to act on climate change. Although the Paris Agreement has aimed at 1.5 degrees Celsius, the sum of global ambition has us hurtling towards three degrees by the end of the century. The experts say this would be catastrophic. As thousands of young people met at Perth's St George's Cathedral, shared stories, heard speeches, and walked towards the international oil and gas meeting near the esplanade, Understorey reporter Adrian Glamorgan hopped on his bicycle, to ride and walk with them recording this story.
