Understorey: Horizons~First Step On A Long Walk
Understorey: Horizons is our autumn season of curated programs from the Understorey sound-rich back catalogue. In 2018, Understorey highlighted the huge changes about to transform the South West, through ongoing conversations between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people, as the South West Native Title Settlement comes closer to reality. Elizabeth PO' speaks with Senior Heritage Officer with the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage, Glenn Shaw, who describes the Noongar Standard Heritage Agreement offering clarity in the new ways of acting around the 4,000 heritage sites, big and small, in our south west. We also hear from Marissa Verma of Bindi Bindi Dreaming, Perth NRM's CEO Paul Bodlovich, along with Reconciliation WA's Jade Thompson, making for a richer conversation starter for us all in these changing times. First broadcast June 27, 2018. (Photo: E PO')
