Pride in Peel prepare for IDAHOBIT celebrations

Pride in Peel are hosting a series of events around the Peel region next week as part of recognising the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia – also known as IDAHOBIT.

On 17 May 1990, the World Health Organization (WHO) removed homosexuality from the Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems. International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) was first celebrated in 2005 on the anniversary of the decision.

Pride in Peel’s President Stephen Carter spoke to Tom Reynolds on All Things Queer sharing information about the festivities that will be happening in the region south of Perth, as well as his upcoming run at local government.
