RTRFM’s Top 10 Played Tracks – May 2021

June is well underway, so it’s time for RTRFM’s 10 most played tracks of the month for May 2021!

RTRFM is not playlisted, which means all presenters have full curatorial control over the programming of their shows. Since the station plays around 8,000 tracks in a month, making RTRFM’s ‘most played’ lists is no small feat.

Of the top 10 tunes, 6 tracks were from female artists/female-fronted bands, and 8 were from Western Australia, with the only non-WA entry being from Melbourne – check the full list below!

Extra special mention to Web Rumors who have made the list for a record-breaking three months in a row, and that four of the artists are playing at RTRFM’s Fremantle Winter Music Party 2021 on Saturday, June 19 for you to soak up live!

Big thanks to Daniel Midgley for his statistical wizardry to crunch the numbers.

1. Gia Como – Madeleine

2. Web Rumors – Moving On

3. Mal De Mer – Gone Fishing

4. Shy Time – Akira

5. Faye Webster – Cheers

6. Cloning – How Could You Ever Think I Hated You?

7. Pat Chow – Attention Please

 8. Hiatus Kaiyote – Red Room

9. Myriad Sun – Hazard-Waste

10. Man Sandal – Can’t Mean Much
