Opening the Conversation With National Refugee Week

It’s Refugee Week (20-26 June) where we raise public awareness of refugees and celebrate refugee’s contribution to Australian society.

On The Record was joined by Joanna Josephs who is the General Manager at the Centre for Asylum Seekers, Refugees and Detainees (CARAD) to chat about the situation of refugees during the COVID pandemic, the impact of travel/border restrictions on asylum seekers, why this week is so important, and the many events running.

On 6pm Thursday 24 June join the community group Western Suburbs Do Gooders at St Luke’s Church in Mosman Park for an informative evening about refugees and asylum seekers and their current situation onshore and offshore.
