Aslan

Half Colombian, born in Miami and raised in Perth. I became obsessed with Rap music as a teenager which acted as a gateway to so many other genres.

About

Get to know Aslan

Outside of the station I am a full time DJ, which includes mostly weddings and corporate. RTR acts as a perfect counter balance to this – at one end of the spectrum my job is to play the most familiar music but at RTR I take pride in playing music that can’t be heard anywhere else.

How did you become involved in the station?

A former presenter pushed me into it (thanks Dani! ) and over the years I have done the same to every member of the current Cloudwaves collective.

Tell us about your most memorable gig, either attending or playing at?

Too many mention but I’m forever grateful to have witnessed Prince at RAC arena in 2016 – one of his final performances.

What is your favourite show (other than your own) on RTRFM?

JAMDOWN VERSHUN.
